Days & Times: Mondays, Wednesdays (6:30pm-9:00pm) AND Saturdays (12:00pm-3:00pm)

Location: South Arlington (Wakefield High School)

Gain a mentor, become a better public speaker, tour a college campus, learn to network, and engage in a civic engagement workshop with Edu-Futuro this summer! Edu-Futuro is looking for students to join our free Emerging Leader Program (ELP I) catered to high school immigrant, minority, and/or first-generation college youth. This six-week multi-workshop program focuses on leadership development, career/college preparation, and community involvement! The mission of Edu-Futuro is to empower immigrant and underserved youth and families through mentorship, education, leadership development and parent engagement to keep students on the college track.

Description

Edu-Futuro is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Bolivian parents and educators to address the educational needs of the growing Latino population. We offer programs that empower immigrant families through education. We offer: the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) which is a youth leadership and college preparation program, 9-12 Grades; STEM/Robotics, upper elementary, middle school, and high school (4-12); as well as parent and family programs. And we welcome volunteers in all our programs!
