Rebuilding Together Seattle is seeking community-oriented, personable, articulate, and dedicated volunteers to join our newly forming Outreach Committee. With our region’s neighborhoods rapidly changing, identifying neighbors in need has become increasingly challenging and dispersed. However, we know from census data that over 37,000 owner-occupied households in our region are living below the federal poverty line. Working with partner organizations and agencies, as well as directly with past and prospective program participants, Outreach Committee Members will serve as program ambassadors and organizational representatives in connecting with new potential applicants, building relationships, and spreading the word about our work to create safe and healthy housing and communities.
See our website and position description at www.rtseattle.org/committees for additional details.

Mission Statement
Together, we serve Seattle by repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. We strive to provide safe homes and communities for everyone.
Description
Rebuilding Together Seattle is the leading community revitalization partner focused on addressing substandard, unsafe, and unhealthy housing conditions. As part of the national Rebuilding Together network, our 140 affiliates repair 10,000 homes annually with the help of nearly 100,000 volunteers. We leverage resources and partnerships to offer home repair and modification services to low-income homeowners and nonprofit facilities at entirely no cost to them. Our coordinated approach between residents, volunteers, municipalities, nonprofits, businesses, foundations, and other partner organizations builds and sustains safe, healthy, and thriving communities. More than housing repair, we improve health outcomes, stabilize housing and homeownership, and reduce the need for new affordable housing. Our work preserves treasured memories and restores social networks, while celebrating community through the strengthening of our neighborhoods. Together we repair homes, revitalize communities, and rebuild lives.
