ORGANIZATION: Good Samaritan Health Clinic

  • Meets and greets clinic patients and other visitors to Good Samaritan Health Clinic in a timely manner. Provides necessary information to patients during check-in for clinic appointments in an expeditious manner. Collects and accounts for patient donation at chick-in.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner. In order to keep telephone lines open as much as possible, telephone conversation should be kept at a minimum. Take telephone messages for Managing Director and Case Manager. Prepares paperwork for the next days appointments.
  • Answer questions from public (walk-in traffic) regarding new patient application process. Spends no more than two-three minutes per visitor. During medical clinic hours, clinic patients come first. Walk-In visitors will be asked to have a seat in the waiting room until all clinic patients with appointments have been processed in for the clinic.
  • Clinic is open Monday through Thursday only.
  • As of December 2023, we need volunteers for this position on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10am -12noon and/or 1pm-4pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am - 12noon and/or 1pm- 5pm.

Description

Good Samaritan Clinic has been serving Pasco County for 32 years. In 1990, a dedicated group of individuals recognized an unfulfilled need to healthcare services to be freely available to the medically needy members of our community. Since that time, the Clinic has grown, and now has over 3,5000 patient visits annually.

The Clinic staff is made up of only 4 full time employees along with 8 part-time employees or independent contractors The clinic relies heavily on the help of over 100 volunteers a year. Volunteers include licensed MD's, DO's, DDS's, APRN', medical assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative support personnel, and eligibility and referral specialists.
