Adopt-A-Beach is a citizen science litter monitoring programming active across the Great Lakes. We provide team leaders who register with materials needed to organize a beach clean up in which participants also tally up what they find. We collect the data back in order to work towards waste management strategies and policies to reduce pollution.
Being a team leader gives the opportunity to engage deeper than just participating because it gives a platform to engage people in conversations about our environment and the impacts of pollution!
