Mommy reads is a program for incarcerated women, which connects moms with their children while they are "away. The kids love hearing their moms reads them a story on disk while they follow along with the book. Some will listen several times a day. This is a family reunification program.

Description
The Open Door (TOD) is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization. We offer mentoring and classes to women housed at the Calcasieu Correctional Center, and to those recently released.
