Celebrating Life Gala event volunteer

The Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force is kicking off its tenth year with its annual Celebrating Life Gala. The event will take place on the evening of Thursday, June 21 at the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park.

We are recruiting friendly, energetic volunteers to help make the Celebrating Life Gala a success! Volunteers are needed from 3:30 to 9:00pm. Although we hope you can stay the entire time, our need is highest during the first half of the event. We anticipate having volunteers help with the following:

• General set-up - assist with registration and silent auction set-up, program distribution, vendor load-in
• Greeters - greet guests upon arrival, direct guests to the check-in and VIP areas
• Registration - handle guest and VIP check-in, name badge printing, provide basic event information (basic computer skills needed and conflict/resolution skills welcome)
• Silent Auction support - monitor and maintain silent auction displays, assist with close down and payment at the end of the night

Although the dress code for this event is cocktail attire, keep in mind some walking and light lifting may be required. We recommend wearing something you will be comfortable and task flexible in. This listing will close at 9:00pm on Sunday, June 17 th. All volunteers will be asked to call in for a short training call on the evening of Tuesday, June 19.
