City Horse is happy to announce that we are hosting our 5th annual carnival on Sunday, August 11th from 10:30AM to 4:00PM at Golden Gate Fields in Berkeley, CA.
City Horse is looking for roughly fifty (50) volunteers to help with set-up (8am to 10:30am), break-down l4-6pm) and to run our carnival activities on the day of the event.
City Horse is looking for volunteers to work with:
Farm Animals
Pony RIdes
Carnival Games
Concession Stand
Prize Table
Reptiles, &
Craft Table.
Volunteers will help with setting up each section, taking tickets and helping kids get in and out.
We are also looking for volunteers who have the following skills
Balloon Twisting
Face Painting
Photography
We especially need face painters and balloon twisters. If you have other skills that might be fun for kids, please share.
All volunteers will have drinks and snacks provided. Our annual carnival serves families with children ages 3 to 11 years old. All proceeds from the City Horse fundraiser support our horse programs for under represented students throughout the Bay Area.

CITY HORSE CONNECTS STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE BAY AREA WITH LOCAL HORSE STABLES IN THEIR AREA. STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY HORSE PROGRAM AS AN ELECTIVE COURSE THROUGH THEIR SCHOOL AND RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR LEARNING HORSEMANSHIP, GROOMING, NUTRITION AND BARN MANAGEMENT.
CITY HORSE ALSO PROVIDES OUT-OF-SCHOOL AND AFTER-SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT CAREERS AND LOCAL PROFESSIONALS WORKING IN AGRICULTURE, VETERINARY MEDICINE AND HORSEMANSHIP.
