Graphic Designer

Program Overview:

The Volunteer Relations Department at the Northern Division Headquarters of the Salvation Army is dedicated to securing volunteers to assist our officers (Pastors) and staff at numerous locations in North Dakota and Minnesota. Within the Twin Cities Metro Area we recruit volunteers to work at various sites and to assist with seasonal activities. Our goal is to insure that the volunteers have a quality experience, and that staff are efficiently trained to do so.

Description of Position:

A Graphic Designer will assist the Volunteer Director and Volunteer Coordinator in the development or revision of training documents and newsletters.

Specific Duties:

• Create appealing layout for one-page training documents.
• Create appealing layout for newsletter.
• Revise/update content if on-going basis.

• Establishes and meets deadlines

Screening, Training, and Evaluation Plan:

• Screening: Interview, complete volunteer application
• Training: Staff in charge will provide training, guidance, and framework
• Evaluation: Interview with volunteer, check-ins as needed, review of final product

Opportunity start and end dates: As soon as possible until project is completed

Schedule (days, times/shifts): This opportunity is virtual so you can work at your own pace, or come to our office anytime M-F between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Length of Commitment: Until project is complete.
