Join the Flint Hills Discovery Center for National Day of the Cowboy on July 28th! National Day of the Cowboy is an annual celebration of the national icon and the history and culture of the American West.
We are looking for volunteers to help us run a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that are designed to enable guests to try their hand at cowboy skills and experience the cowboy and ranching cultures that helped to preserve and shape the Flint Hills we know today! We'll have branding, sling shots, calf roping, horseshoe and bison chip tossing and much more!
There will be two volunteer shifts 9:30-1:30 and 1:-00-5:00. Snacks and beverages will be available to all volunteers in the Volunteer Lounge throughout the day.
Join us and support the Manhattan Community at this fun and family friendly event!
