Divine Truth is looking for a capable leader who has integrity, energy, and the ability to build our worship team. Someone sensitive to the Holy Spirit of God who desires to be used by Jesus to build His church. Must work collaboratively with staff, singers and instrumentalists to produce effective music that enhances the worship experience. Makes the final decision on music issues when collaboration is not successful.

This is a part-time position for someone:

• Who has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing, personal relationship with Him.
• Who is able to lead from the keys (or guitar) and will serve as the primary instrumentalist at worship services and recruit secondary musicians as necessary.
• Who will learn, create, and use worship planning strategies for weekly worship experiences.
• Who will assist in recruiting and developing both vocalists and musicians.
• Strong vocalist for leading Praise Team.
• Ability to develop Spirit-filled, Alive, Creative and Engaging worship Experiences.
• Strong leadership skills and communication skills.

Planning:

• Seek weekly sermon topic information from the Senior or participating pastors.
• Schedule and meets with the Praise Team to select appropriate music.
• Schedule and lead regularly scheduled rehearsals.
• Assure copies of music are available for rehearsals and services.
• Provide recordings of, or advise the source for listening to, selected music.
• Seek new music, personally, and from the Praise Team and Band
• Communicate all scheduling performance and rehearsal details to participants.
• Help organize lay leadership within special services and programs.
• Encourage participation in the Praise Team and Band from the congregation including youth.
• Provide, or recommend training as needed.
• Provide and encourage, innovative, visionary, contemporary ideas to worship and programming.
• Be knowledgeable with sound technology and video and sound recording technology.
• Lead or train volunteers to develop children’s and youth praise team if directed to do so.

Qualifications:

• Two years’ minimum experience in leading music ensembles
• Must be a born-again believer
• Proficient in reading, leading and performing music
• Enthusiastic, energetic, innovative, friendly and approachable, seeking to join a church family and participate in the life of the church
• Language: English
