Gateway180 is the largest emergency family shelter in the State of Missouri. We serve 162 individuals daily, with about 90-100 of those individuals being children. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us out with child care while parents attend workshops or meetings in the building.

Most of the child care opportunities will occur on Saturday mornings, but could be at other times as well. On average, groups of volunteers will be supervising about 30 school aged kids at a time.

Gateway180 has a large children's room with lots of toys and activities, so it won't be hard to keep our kids occupied! Volunteers are more than welcome to play games, read, color, help with homework, and more with our children.

This is a great opportunity for teens needing service hours, or for those who enjoy being around and mentoring kids!

Volunteers over the age of 18 will need to complete a background check through Verified Volunteers.
