USA Softball Volunteers Needed for USA Gold Nationals

Volunteers can start at age 14 years old - great family volunteer opportunity!

Visit Plano needs volunteers to help at their hospitality/registration desk/tent for a few hours a day.

They will also need volunteers to keep score at the games using an iPad. Staff uniforms and training will be provided. Volunteers working two shifts will be offered a free meal from the concessionaire.

Scorekeeping volunteers must:

• Be reliable
• Know basic softball/baseball scorekeeping skills
• Be comfortable with iPad technology.
• Attend a training session at Heritage Yards during the week prior to the tournament. We will offer several different training sessions and they will last about 30-45 minutes.

Registration and hospitality volunteers are asked to volunteer for one 2-3 hour shift a day starting Saturday, July 14 thru Saturday, July 21. Anyone working two shifts will get a complimentary meal from whatever concessionaire is working the park that day.

Scorekeepers are asked to volunteer for two game slots on the days they can volunteer. They can work two games in a row or score one game, take a game off and then score a second game. A complimentary meal from park concessions will be provided each day a volunteer scores two games.

This volunteer opportunity is a great way to get outdoors this summer and help this event be successful for Plano! Students that volunteer can request a letter of service from me after they finish.
