Join friends and neighbors for a volunteer event in the vast and lively El Corazon Nature Park.
The Friends of El Corazon will lead volunteers in removing invasive sweet fennel along the rolling hillsides of El Corazon Nature Park. We are doing this to prep the site for future native grassland and coastal sage scrub restoration.
Event is appropriate for all ages* and physical abilities. This is an opportunity to meet people, get outside, learn about your local environment, and earn volunteer service hours.
Please bring: Water. Wear protective clothes and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
Parking: Park at Oceanside Boulevard trailhead near intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and El Camino Real. Coordinates are: 33.202955, -117.329390. Walking 3/4 mile in to site required.
