Being a hospice volunteer means giving peace, comfort and care to patients, families and caregivers in need. Volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients they care for. Having a volunteer means having someone who will listen, having someone who will provide much needed companionship, and it means having someone who cares. The difference you can make is immeasurable. We would love to have you join our team and help us serve our beautiful patients and families in need. We have many hospice patients simply in need of companionship and a friendly face. We also have family members of hospice patients who may need to go to a doctor appointment or run errands but are not able to leave their loved one. As a volunteer you would stay with the loved one while the family member is out. If you can spare 2 to 4 hours every 2 weeks or so, we need you. We will provide an orientation to teach you everything you need to know and will place you with a patient close to your location. We do require a valid driver's license, a social security card, and an up to date CPR certification.
