Fundraising Volunteers
Help us to raise funds here at CMA! All you need to be a good fundraiser is a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Fundraising Volunteers serve at least two hours per week working on CMA fundraising. This work can include grant writing, event organizing, or any other work that will assist CMA in raising funds.
Expectations:
The organization is expected to ensure that you:
- Review the organization manual and ensure understanding of organization policies;
- Participate in organization orientations;
- Ask for and have regular reviews or evaluations of your performance;
- Get guidance and support in your volunteer role;
- Commit to at least two hours a week during a set time.
Responsibilities:
As a program volunteer, you have the responsibility to:
- Be punctual for your volunteer duty or shift;
- Be reliable and responsible;
- Communicate any issues or concerns which are likely to affect your volunteer duties;
- Do your duties as assigned and directed;
- Accept guidance from the Volunteer Coordinator or supervisor;
- Be willing to learn and participate in orientation, training programs, and meetings;
- Keep sensitive organizational information confidential;
- Comply with the policies and procedures of the organization;
- Regularly write grants for the organization.

Community Miracles in Action is a drop-in makers-space for youth aged 12-18 in Cohoes, NY and the surrounding communities. Youth are encouraged to drop in, jump in on a project, complete school assignments and grab a snack while they are at it!
