Help a Child Succeed in School
ORGANIZATION: FiftyForward
Please visit the new page to apply.
Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP), an inter-generational tutoring program of FiftyForward RSVP, needs volunteers, adults 55 plus, to tutor kindergarten through fourth-grade students who are at least one grade level behind in reading or math.
FLIP volunteers support students through weekly, one-on-one tutoring sessions. Tutors are assigned the same students for the entire school year, so they are able to fully follow their student's progress.
FLIP provides training materials, on-site training, and ongoing support. A professional background in education is not required. Enthusiasm and interest is all you need.
Join FLIP and help elementary students become confident and successful in school!
