The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals Thunder Egg-Stravaganza is an annual event done the Saturday before Easter. We have limited the attendance to 2000 people with 2 sessions of 1000 people each (10am - 1pm and 1pm - 5pm). Volunteers are needed to help with restocking the egg search areas and for traffic control. Boy scouts and girl scouts are welcome to volunteer if a parent or leader accompany them. Volunteers can work all day or choose a session. Lunch is provided for volunteers. Respond to opportunity prior to April 18, 2019. Additional information will be supplied with response.

The Rice Northwest Musuem of Rocks qand Minerals houses a world-class collection recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. The Museum showcases not only fine rocks and minerals, but also fossils, meteorites, lapidary art, and gemstones from both the Pacific Northwest and all around the world. The Rice Northwest Museum offers extensive opportunities for education and learning more about geology, mineralogy and lapidary arts.
