We are looking for volunteers to join our Leadership Team. Be a part of immediately meaningful work for the lives of women who are serving our country in the Armed Forces.

Our Leadership Team members serve on one or more of the following committees:

  • Events and Volunteering
    • Event planning
    • Volunteer recruitment and management
    • Event execution
    • Interface with community
    • Primarily care package creation and donation sorting
  • Marketing and PR Outreach
    • Develop marketing plan
    • Work with other committees to provide for their marketing needs
    • Develop marketing materials, primarily through our website, social media, e-newsletters, and event advertising
    • Recommended proficiency using Mailchimp and Photo/Illustration editing computer programs.
  • Fundraising and Partnerships
    • Develop fundraising goals and plan with OCIB Board
    • Grant research and writing
    • Work with event committee on event fundraisers.
    • Recommend CRM software to Executive Director/OCIB Board
    • Manage potential/actual donors with Customer Relations Management software.
    • Establish relationships with potential and actual corporate and organizational donors.
    • Develop Sponsorship packet.
    • Recommended proficiency using Crowdrise online software
  • Finance - positions not available at this time

Time Commitment: We are looking for active leaders in the committees with a recommended 3 hours per week minimum. Actual time commitment depends on the activity and goals of the individual committees.

Location: Virtual and On-site depending on committee and events involved

Mission Statement

To bring a little joy and femininity to our active duty, deployed, US servicewomen through care packages geared for women.

Description

Every year, we send approximately 4.5 tons of products to deployed members of the Armed Forces. These care packages are free to the nominator and recipient. They feature high quality items (particularly personal care products) geared toward women. We have been featured in Glamour Magazine, Women's World Magazine and in local media. Our supporters include but are not limited to national corporations, corporate organizations, fraternities and sororities, high school students, and girl scout troops from all across America. Our founder Cindy Chan was the recipient of the She Serves Award from the National VFW. We have received multiple grants from a variety of officers' spouses' clubs nationally and other non-profit organizations. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Tax ID 47-4812161
