A mentor is a caring, responsible volunteer who serves as a trusted friend and guide to a student in our program. He or she helps to ensure that the student develops important academic and life skills, is exposed to new opportunities and a wide array of resources, makes positive life choices, and helps to keep them focus on their academic and career goals.

Our mission is to academically and socially prepare youth and adults in Southern Maryland to excel in the fields of science, technology, research, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STREAM).
Description
KidsSTREAM, Inc. is an out-of-school nonprofit program that serves at-risk, suburban youth from various academic levels from Pre-K through 8th grade. Founded in 2015, KidsSTREAM, Inc. has served children from Charles County, Prince George’s County, and surrounding states. The organization was founded with a vision to promote well-balanced, active citizens in the community who are so fully engaged in the fields of science technology, research, engineering, arts or mathematics that they will either seek a career in one of these fields or seek more knowledge in one of these areas.
