The Tour de Cure Michigan is the largest fundraising event for the America Diabetes Assocation in Michigan. With your support that day we hope to make a great experience for all our participants. The Tour de Cure is a ride and walk event. All volunteers get a t-shirt and parking is included. Here is what volunteer opportunities we have available:

Set-up* Saturday, September 29 @ 12pm - 6pm
Help set up the Tour de Cure site at
Comerica Park, Detroit

______ Route Marking* Saturday, September 29 @ 12pm - 5pm
Place directional signage along sections of the
Tour de Cure routes

Event Check-In* 6am - 10:30am
Check in rider at registration

Breakfast* 6:30am - 10:30am
Set up and serve light breakfast for riders

Pre-Event Greeters* 6:30am - 10:30am
Greet riders and direct them to parking, registration and breakfast area.

_______Start/Finish Line Cheer Squad*
7am -10:30am or 10:30am-2pm
Help cheer riders along as they start and finish the ride!!!

_______T-Shirt Distributor*
6am-10:30am


_______Rest Stops* Serve food and cheer on riders as they pass 6 different rest stops along route.

Safety/Route Support* Times vary depending on route.
Monitor areas where riders need to use extra
caution due to traffic, assistance on route, etc.

_______SAG Vehicle Driver* Times vary depending on route(s).
Drive vehicles along the route and transport riders
to finish line as needed. Two people per car.

_______Clean-Up* 1pm - 4:30pm
Keep WCC event site clean, break down
tables/chairs and reload trucks.

Medical Assistance* (Nurse/Doctor/EMT) 6am - 4pm
Assist riders with cuts, blood sugar readings or general medical concerns at Rest Stops.

REMOVE ALL signage throughout the community from our Tour de Cure routes.
