Looking to share your passion for golf with people eager to learn? Special Olympics is seeking golfers to help coach intellectually disabled athletes participating in our Northern California programs. Commitment is 8-12 weeks this summer and depending on level, 1.5 hours a week for individual skills and 3 hours weekly for 9/18 hole course play. Prospective volunteers will start out as assistant coaches and will need to complete an application, background check and orientation, all online. Practice times are in Santa Cruz on Monday from 5:30 - 7:30 and on Sunday, 1 - 3PM at the Twin Creeks Golf Course in Salinas from July 22 - September 2.
