Homestead Hospice needs volunteers in south phoenix to sit and talk with or read to patients whom lack much social interaction. The act of sitting with these patients, provides them with comfort in peace in what could be the most important time in their life.
To begin we provide a brief orientation and introduction to hospice, we'll need a TB skin test which one of our nurses can provide, and we also need a drug screening, we partner with Labcorp for eased convenience.
Volunteering at Homestead Hospice is extremely flexible, volunteer when and as often as you would like at the convenience of the patient as well.
Minors 17 and under need to be accompanied by a guardian.
