KNCB Garden Workday (August 7)

KNCB is seeking volunteers to assist with our summer workdays in the Park Circle Butterfly Garden. This week we will be installing newspapers and pinestraw in the KNCB gardens to help with weed control. The volunteer workday will be Wednesday, August 7 from 8:00am - 12:00pm or until we finish for the day. You are welcome to attend for the full volunteer workday, or for an hour or two as your schedule permits. Please email us and let us know the dates and times you are interested in volunteering and we will put you on the schedule.

If you are unable to attend a workday you have signed up for, please let us know a few days in advance. We will let you know prior to the workday if any scheduling conflicts come up. Due to the nature of the volunteer work, workdays will not be held on days with rain or inclement weather.

On volunteer days, please be sure to dress comfortably for working outside. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring any needed items with you such as a hat, sunscreen, or bug spray. We have bottled water in our office along with a water cooler for your refillable bottles.
