Give More HUGS (GMH) has an opportunity for a grant writer to join our volunteer team to support our programs to help students in underserved areas. Our focus areas are youth leadership, service, literacy and education. Through our leadership model, we train and mentor middle school, high school and college students to develop their leadership skills while implementing a program to impact the lives of students in underserved areas. The grant writer must have experience writing grants or can learn quickly to write grants to support GMH programs. The grants would support our training model to implement literacy, STEM, and education initiatives in the communities we work in throughout Texas. Please apply if you are interested! We are looking for someone to begin working with us Summer 2018. Click the link to apply today! https://goo.gl/forms/mr056mHelvp4fKe12

Mission Statement

Cultivate a national network of leaders who provide books, supplies and projects to support early literacy in underfunded schools.

Description

There are 31.4 million children who live in low-income families across the United States. Millions of children do not have access to quality and relevant books in their homes.

The Leaders Readers Network, formerly known as Give More HUGS, is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to equalizing access to quality education. Each school year, we work with a team of teachers and students in underserved communities to deliver books and school supplies to children and classrooms in need. Our network of teachers and students are one of the best, representing a diverse and dedicated group of leaders who are working together to ensure children in their communities have access to brand new books, school supplies, and leadership development.
