ORGANIZATION: The North American Rescue Collective

NOARC is seeking a Director of Foster Program to start immediately. This individual will work directly with the Executive Board and other members of the Management Committee. This personwill be good with people, driven, committed, and enthusiastic. Some direct responsibilities of this role includes but is not limited to:

-Recruiting fosters to volunteer with the organization;
-Conducting home visits for potential fosters;
-Acting as the liaison between fosters and others within the organization (veterinarian, potential adopters, etc.);
-Completing foster reports every 4 months to help organization determine what is working vs. what is not;
-Ensuring fosters receive all necessary supplies for each dog;
-Scheduling all intake vet appointments for new foster dogs, in addition to any necessary follow-up appointments;
-Working with fosters to determine specific training, medical, and behavioral needs of their dog(s).

Through partnering with shelters in the Midwest region, we strive to aid in the implementation of sustainable programs that address the issues of canine overpopulation, abuse, and neglect. In addition, these programs should promote responsible pet parenthood and encourage community-wide solutions. Further, we help our shelter partners through pulling individual dogs and placing them in foster homes throughout Ohio before ensuring that they are adopted to great homes.
