Preferred Hospice is in need of volunteers to provide companionship and support to patients receiving hospice care. Patients benefit from volunteer visits as emotional support and companionship is provided. Volunteers may visit with patients, read to them, play games, or simply offer their calming presence. Preferred Hospice provides services to patients within an hour radius of our office in Ozark. Mileage reimbursement is provided to all volunteers. All training and education is also provided. Description
Preferred Hospice is a Missouri-based company comprised of a multidisciplinary team of Healthcare workers who specialize in end-of-life care. Among the senior team are Physician and Nurses who together bring over 50 years of Healthcare experience. We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark Missouri.
Volunteers are essential to the Preferred Hospice Team. Direct Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients while offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Volunteers may also provide respite and assistance to patient caregivers. Office and Administrative Volunteers assist the office staff with many things from mail outs to data entry. Training, education, and mileage reimbursement is provided.
