Ventura County Special Olympics is looking for volunteer soccer coaches for our program based in Oxnard. No prior coaching experience is necessary but knowledge and understanding of the game of soccer is needed.
Our soccer season runs from August to November. Teams practice once a week for 1-2 hours over the course of the season. Practices are usually Saturday mornings but can be flexible based on coaches schedules. Our teams also compete at regional competitions (Santa Barbara, Kern, Santa Clarita) and our coaches are expected to accompany their team to at least two of these events.
We are looking for coaches who are willing to make a commitment to being at practice consistently. If this is something you are interested in, please contact Tim Ballaret at tballaret@sosc.org for more information.

Description
Ventura County Special Olympics includes over 700 registered athletes and over 90 certified coaches in 18 different sports year-round. Our goals focus around providing high quality sports training and competitions, along with growth in numbers of new athletes, coaches, and volunteers.
