The Accelerator YMCA partners with Horn of Africa Services (HOAS) to provide a job readiness training program is for high-school aged students who are East African immigrants (Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia) and part of the refugee community in Seattle. This program teaches these students about job readiness skills, career exploration, self-expression, community impact, and facilitation skills.
We are looking for a HOAS Program Volunteer to help facilitate and deliver lesson plans and activities alongside the classroom instructor. Classes are held after-school hours on weekday evenings during the school year.
Please reply if you are interested in learning more about the program and this volunteer position.
