Light a candle in someone's life by visiting Hospice Patients. By watching a movie and simply spending time. Be a friend and bring joy to another. You can play an instrument, sing, read bible, pray etc.
Engaging patients with activities can relive boredom and depression and help them live full life. These are wonderful people that need a friend. You can make a difference in a seniors life.
This volunteer opportunity will be in a Nursing home, Assisted Livings, private homes. We have patients in OKC North and South, Norman Edmond, Edmond, Mustang, Yukon, Jones, Kingfisher. You can choose where you would like to volunteer. You will need to come to our office only once for orientation.

Description
An innovative concept in healthcare, Hospice brings together a team of specially trained professionals and volunteers who work with the patient's doctor to provide a plan of care designed to control the pain and ease end-of-life struggles for the patient and family. The Hospice Team is made up of professionals from a variety of disciplines and specially trained volunteers working under the stewardship of a Hospice medical director to meet the individual needs of terminally ill patients and their families. The Hospice Team also works with the patient and family's community of faith and/or other spiritual care resources, as requested.
