Halcyon Hopice has office volunteer opportunities available. We are looking for someone to help specifically on Thursdays. This opportunity could be a great way to gain some office experience. As an office administrative volunteer you may be ask to file, answer phones,help in the stock room, scan, and make copies. The perfect volunteer will be available on Thursdays to help out while our team has our staff meeting. Must have decent phone skills as you will be communicating with our patients and their families. Please feel free to contact me to set up a volunteer interview. Must be at least 18.

It is our mission to meet our patients needs physically,socially and spiritually. In order to do that we employee a staff of nurses, home health aids,social workers ,chaplains, Volunteer coordinator, Medical Director and volunteers. Our staff is dedicated to our patients and their families.
Description
You will feel very rewarded in your new role as a Halcyon hospice volunteer. As a hospice volunteer you will help patients and their caregivers in many different areas of their lives. You can provide caregiver relief for 2-4 hours each week to allow the caregiver to enjoy time out of the home. You may also provide companionship to a patient who is in their last Journeys of life. You may also help out as a office administarative volunteer. Some other ways you may volunteer are baking birthday cakes, knitting blankets, running errands, delivering supplies, making weekend tuck in calls, Pet therapy ,if you have a hospice certified animal and Music therapy if you have musical talents. We care for terminal patients in thier home or home like settings. Our office is located in the cumming area. We have patients in several surrounding counties.
