ORGANIZATION: Cascade AIDS Project

Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is the oldest HIV/AIDS support organization in Oregon. We are currently looking for a tech-savvy individual to help with outreach on social media. This is an unpaid position and duties include the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting with CAP’s social media marketing strategy, including updating social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Blogger, Google Analytics, Google Adwords)
  • Research current best practices and trends in social media
  • Find new ways to expand CAP’s audience through social media
  • Work with CAP staff to use social media to recruit clients for CAP programs and events
  • Long term commitment required (6 months minimum)

Description

Founded in 1983 and incorporated in 1985 as the Cascade AIDS Project, CAP is the oldest and largest community-based provider of HIV services, housing, education and advocacy in Oregon and Southwest Washington. CAP has grown considerably since its beginning, from a two person staff to over 75, from a budget of $100,000 to over $10 million. CAP operates multiple programs from its main service site with the support of over 600 volunteers.
