IRIS: The Iowa Radio Reading Information Service for the Blind and Print Handicapped
The IRIS program is a free news and information service that broadcasts 24 hours a day,
every day of the year to thousands of listeners throughout Iowa. Volunteers read the
Globe Gazette over the IRIS frequency at KCMR radio station in Mason City. Dedicated volunteers are the voices that help keep IRIS listeners connected to their communities. KCMR could use 3-4 more volunteers over the winter months. Contact RSVP to enroll. 641-422-4254 or theresa.price@niacc.edu.
