The Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research promises 2018 to be a very exciting year!
The Fisher Center Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to research into the cause, care, and cure of Alzheimer's. We are currently in need of creative writers to help promote the great work being done in the pursuit to end the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
Duties: - Working with the Director of Communications and Development to promote the Fisher Center Foundation - Prepare articles on Alzheimer's research or studies to be featured on our website and possibly in our Preserving Your Memory magazine. Other creative writing opportunities may include writing the foundation's case for support, editing written content on our website, and creating content for social media platforms.
Experience: This volunteer should have previous experience in creative writing and be able to provide samples of previous work demonstrating their abilities.
Commitment: Varies with each individual volunteers needs. Because this is a writing opportunity, there is no requirement to come into our office as we can work closely together via phone, email and conference calls if need be.
Training: Work closely with Director of Communications and Development to learn about the foundation and our goals to develop needed content.

Our founding director is Nobel Laureate and neuroscientist Paul Greengard. He and his world-renowned team at the Fisher Center are leading the way to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
