Volunteer to assist seniors and people with disabilities to use a computer and internet in a variety of ways; word processing and storage, email, research, social media. Also tutoring to maximize use of personal cell phones.
Languages needed: English, Spanish.
Volunteers must be available during the hours of 10am-11:30am Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays. The Center is closed on weekends and most holidays.
This could be a paid opportunity for the right instructor.

CIS is seeking volunteers for Day Activity Program. The program licensed by State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division.
Programs cover a wide spectrum of Preventive Health, Lifelong Learning and Social/Recreational activities. Volunteers have a wide variety of activities to match with their "niche" for service.
CIS is contracted with Senior Care Action Network (SCAN) Health Plan serving Seniors ages 65+ with Medicare; contracted with North Los Angeles County Regional Center serving adults with developmental disabilities including Mental Retardation and the Autism Spectrum.
Impacting lives of those with various disabilities in a uniquely designed, comfortable day program setting, which serves as a vessel of dignity, respect and community belonging. Also promotes community integration and social acceptance of people with aging challenges and disabilities
