VIDA (Volunteers in Defense of Animals)

We're looking for some volunteers who enjoy working with dogs and cats and maybe have a little experience with using YouTube! We don't need complicated, long videos, just under a minute for each dog of them playing or showing off their best features. Even a 30 second clip is perfect!

We don't require any professional equipment, though maybe that would be a great addition! Using an iPhone for taking video is perfect. You'll need to edit, upload to YouTube, and help us create a YouTube channel to upload the videos. The video links will be attached to each dog and cat's Adoptapet profile, the place where we advertise them up for adoption! You won't need to maintain the YouTube channel really that much, we just need to have some videos up for the dogs that are up for adoption! This gives adopters a little more info on a dog and allows them to get to know them before even meeting them!

Shoot us a message if you're interested.

About Volunteers in Defense of Animals

Location:

Mission Statement

Our mission is to protect and help dogs and cats from homelessness neglect, abuse, cruelty and abandonment. VIDA does not belong to any one person but instead to all of its volunteers. We adopt out about 4-5 dogs and cats each week and rescue dogs from high-kill shelters, low income neighborhoods, and even dogs from Mexico. We also have spay and neuter operations and have saved thousands of animals already.

Description

Volunteers in Defense of Animals is a non-profit organization working to end the suffering and mistreatment of dogs and cats in Southern California. We bring spay and neuter services to areas where families cannot afford them; we facilitate the rescue, foster care, and adoption of animals whenever possible, and we offer education and support to those involved in the care of animals.

We have found forever homes for hundreds of dogs and cats, with around 4-5 new adoptions taking place each week. Many of our dogs come from local high-kill shelters before they are euthanized and on the streets of both the US and Mexico. We also have spay/neuter operations in low-income neighborhoods in the US and in Mexico and have spayed/neutered thousands of pets.
