Empowered Living Cancer Management is a new not-for-profit organization affiliated with The Olive Branch of Hope ( http://www.theolivebranch.ca)
OUR MISSION: To be the leading trusted resource offering culturally relevant educational information and resources/tools to individuals and families in Africa and the Caribbean affected by cancer via digital technology

If you are a dedicated individual who is passionate about web and graphic design and are looking for an opportunity to expand your experience and build your portfolio as a Web Designer, this opportunity is for you.
We are looking for a talented Web Designer to design and build our new website as well as create amazing user experiences who has an eye for clean and artful web design.
Responsibilities include:
- Translate high-level requirements into interaction flows, as well as intuitive and functional designs
- Building our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience using WordPress templates
- Strong creative design capabilities
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
- Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Website Design
- Graphic Design
- Basic Website Maintenance / HTML
Software Systems:
- WordPress

VISION
To be the leading resource centre for women of African Ancestry diagnosed and living with breast cancer
GOALS
1. Develop and implement culturally diverse cancer support programs
2. Expand the organization’s reach in serving communities across Canada
3. Increase funding and obtain a sustainable financial base to drive program growth
4. Extend support to underserved developing countries in the Caribbean and Africa (in longer term)
