The American Cancer Society is looking for a volunteer to work on year-round planning and execution of stewardship/thank-you initiatives for the Anchorage Wine & Food Festival sponsors, donors and volunteers. Much of these activities can be completed from home and this volunteer can set his or her own hours.
The Anchorage Wine & Food Festival is the American Cancer Society of Alaska's annual black-tie gala and is our most significant annual fundraising event in the state. This distinguished event raises much-needed funds for lifesaving cancer research, prevention & screening, and free programs and services for Alaskan cancer patients and their families.
Responsibilities of the stewardship/thank-you volunteer would include:
- Handwriting thank-you cards to sponsors, donors and volunteers
- Producing thank-you letters for 200+ auction item and wine donors
- Planning stewardship/thank-you gifts for the event's top sponsors and supporters
- Procuring donated items to comprise the above thank-you gifts
- Hand delivering thank-you gifts when needed
