Benevilla is a local, West Valley, not-for-profit organization that serves children, their families, and older adults with dementia and intellectual or developmental disabilities.
We provide free volunteer assisted services such as grocery shopping, transportation, friendly visitor/phone pals, to housebound individuals. Benevilla has an urgent need of volunteers to assist with the transportation (in your vehicle) of seniors to and from essential medical appointments. In addition, to the four different day programs for adults with dementia and other disabilities, we also have a preschool/child care center, which includes an intergenerational component.
Benevilla is currently in need of warm, caring, and engaging volunteers to assist our members with weekly Grocery Shopper needs. The process begins by obtaining the member's grocery list, go shopping to fill the order, delivering the items to the member without entering the member's homes.
We encourage you to consider participating by volunteering in help of others, as this rewarding work might be something for you. Orientation and training will be provided.
An AZ level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, current driver license, proof of insurance, background checks, and personal references are required. Helping people makes all of our lives more enriched and fulfilled.
The area in which Benevilla provides these volunteers assisted services is Surprise, Sun City, Sun City West, Youngtown, Peoria, Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Goodyear, Avondale and Tolleson.

Mission Statement
Benevilla. Enriching Lives.
Description
Started by and for our community in 1981, Benevilla enriches lives of West Valley residents by serving older adults, adults with disabilities, children and the families who care for them.
Benevilla provides a continuum of care that promotes independence and instills a sense of dignity and self-empowerment, regardless of the ability to pay. We recognize that caring for the needs of senior adults reaches beyond the individual to the entire family. Not only do our well-established services offer assistance to senior clients, but many programs address the ongoing and changing needs of caregivers and families.
