Help a Couple Affected by ALS Around the Home

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The ALS Association: MN/ND/SD

A 55 year old woman living with ALS and her husband are looking for a volunteer to help them around the home. They would like someone who can clean (vacuum, sweep, wash the dishes, and clean the bathroom), do some laundry and prepare some basic meals. It would be a bonus if this person would also be willing to run the occasional errand to the post office or grocery store.

They would like four hours of weekly help. They prefer for a volunteer to help late morning and early afternoon, ideally on Monday or Thursday but are open to any weekday, if necessary. If once a week is too much, help every other week and we will find another volunteer to alternate weeks with you.

This opportunity is part of our family assistance program. Find out why this program rocks and how you can be a part of it by visiting our website [tinyurl.com/ALS-FAP].
