Nestled between the McKenzie and Willamette rivers, the City of Springfield is a great place to live and recreate. Springfield’s Stream Team works to improve water quality and wildlife habitat by planting native species, removing invasive plants, and picking up litter along our waterways. The Stream Team is a fun way to get to know your urban ecology, meet new people, and get outside!
Springfield's Stream Team is looking for volunteers to remove invasive plants, plant native vegetation, and pick up litter. These tasks generally require the ability to bend over, dig, and walk on uneven and often steep terrain. We will work to accommodate people of all abilities. Litter pick up can be done from a paved trail with a garbage grabber at many locations. To see our the date of our latest work party go to www.springfieldstreams.org
