We are in search of committed volunteer drivers to deliver meals to seniors in our community through our Kosher Meals on Wheels Program! We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of elders who might otherwise not have access to a hot meal on their own. This is an easy way to make a huge impact on a person's life, with a minimal time requirement each week!
Delivery volunteers need to available to serve on a regular basis for one or more of the following shifts:
- Mondays and Fridays, with deliveries to 2 homes in Roseville, and/or Maplewood.
- Wednesdays, 1 delivery in St. Anthony
Frozen meals need to be picked up at Sholom Shaller Campus, at 730 Kay Avenue in St. Paul, between 9:00 and 10:00 am. A cooler will be provided for your use, so you are free to drop off the meal packages (and enjoy a brief, friendly interaction with our client) anytime before 5:00 on the designated day.
We are recruiting a team of service-oriented volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule, as well as alternate drivers who can be on call as the need arises. This is a perfect opportunity for couples and families who want to do good together, and are eager to teach their children about the value of serving others!
