Demonstrate commitment to the agency’s mission statement and core values at all times. The mission statement is: "360 Communities delivers safety and stability that improves lives." We are looking for a few volunteers who are interested in supporting our Mission Statement as a Domestic Violence Support Group Co-Facilitator Volunteer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate safe, supportive, and inclusive support group sessions
  2. Create/prepare curriculum and materials for each session
  3. Create an atmosphere of welcoming and listening in a non-judgmental manner
  4. Explain group guidelines and ensure adherence
  5. Guide and manage the session
  6. Provide information regarding resources and supports in the community
  7. Obtain feedback surveys
  8. Document attendance and give to staff at end of session

Qualifications

  1. Sexual Assault Advocacy Certification Preferred
  2. Ability to Complete Sexual Assault Advocacy Training and Certification upon start date (training, certification will be provided)
  3. Value diversity and work well with individuals of all cultures
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Good listening skills
  6. 6-12 month commitment preferred
  7. Ability to pass a background check
  8. Attended required trainings

Description

Founded more than 40 years ago by a group of volunteers, 360 Communities provides hope and support to more than 17,500 individuals each year with services in over 40 locations, including a network of five food shelves, two resource centers, two sexual and domestic violence shelters, and two programs that support school success from birth through high school graduation. About 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and talent in support of 360 Communities every year.

360 Communities delivers a full circle of support to families through its strong network of programs, resources, and community partners. No matter how a person enters 360 Communities, staff and volunteers engage them to identify the root causes of their problems and provide resources to help them onto a path toward self-sustained success.
