Volunteer Description

Summary:

Serve as a volunteer of the auction for the 2019 Milwaukee Heart Ball. With AHA staff and other members of the auction committee, solicit donated items for the Silent Auction.

Auction Goal:

Fair Market Value (FMV) Goal: $100,000

Night of Event Goal (Live and Silent Auction): $80,000 - represents 80% of the FMV

Length of Commitment:

August 2018 - May 2019

Responsibilities:

• Develop a list of items you will commit to solicit through personal and business contacts. Target categories include: Sports, Hotel & Travel, Dining & Entertainment and Wine Cellar
• Secure 5-10 Items from your list
• Attend auction committee meetings and meet/update with your AHA staff partner. The following is a breakdown of the committee meetings/calls:

• 4 face-to-face meetings (August, September, November, & December)
• 15 minute monthly touch base calls leading up to the event

• Attend/Volunteer at the Milwaukee Heart Ball*
• Attend Milwaukee Heart Ball related events - Auction Preview Party, Post-Event Celebration

*All auction committee members who secure a minimum of $3,000 auction items will be invited to attend the Milwaukee Heart Ball as a guest of the AHA.
