What is Circles?
Circles helps low-income families move from financial stability - where they are just getting by week to week - to financial mobility - where they are able to rise above poverty. Circles brings people of diverse incomes together in an effort to help low-income families achieve their goals and, also, to work cooperatively to address the systemic barriers that keep people in poverty
What is a Circle Ally?
Circle Allies are community members who believe that Circle Leaders (low-income individuals and families) can achieve their goals. They build positive relationships with Circle Leaders and offer encouragement and support as the Circle Leader works to achieve his or her economic aspirations.
What do Circle Allies do?
- Attend a three hour training session to learn about Circles and poverty
- Build a relationship with a Circle Leader and support them for 18 months
- Attend Circle Weekly Meetings at least twice each month
