Come join our team of animal lovers!

The Internal Relations Manager volunteers from home (remotely), and reports to the Communications Co-Chairs of Phinney's Friends.

This person will help create and maintain a regular way of communicating with the volunteers, keeping them engaged and appraised of what's going on in the organization.

The job involves:

  • Developing venues such as newsletters and content for it.
  • Developing a set of subjects that should keep volunteers engaged
  • Manage a small number of volunteers who can help write content and make sure they deliver their stories on time.
  • Proofread, Edit and revise content as necessary.

Qualifications and Expectations:

  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to articulate the mission and goals of Phinney’s Friends in an engaging and accessible yet nuanced manner across different platforms (training will be provided)
  • Strategic and creative thinker, who knows how to imagine, create, implement and deliver with attention to every detail from look, to message, to timing
  • Ability to turn important messages into compelling, clear and concise written materials
  • Ability to keep deadlines
  • Team player
  • Sense of humor
