ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association - Greater Sacramento

Help us get one step closer to finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease and volunteer for the Walk to End Alzheimer's!

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. Help us make this event a success!

Join the Mission Committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer's and help promote our signature fundraising event in Stockton, California. Responsibilities include:

  • Promote core mission elements on Walk day, including Trial Match, Programs and Services, and Promise Garden
  • Lead the Champions and Grand Champions Club program
  • Present Mission moments at all committee meetings and wrap-around events

Ideal volunteer should have strong passion and/or personal connection to the disease; able to inspire others through storytelling and sharing.

Description

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and support, and the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research. Our office is part of the Northern California & Northern Nevada Chapter. We enhance care and support for those affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, fund research to find a cure/treatment, and advocate at the federal, state and local levels for research, prevention and care initiatives.
