You are a go-getter, a doer, someone who thinks big and acts big. You might not be a leader yet, but you’ve got what it takes to be one. You want to collaborate with great team of people. Got all of that? Then CIANA wants You.

We are currently looking to assemble a team of creative communications interns to inspire our pro-immigration allies and turn them into donors and activists. Your role will be to design and optimize our content across our social media platforms, as well as to come up with creative ideas while maintaining our core identity and values.

Description:

The Center for the Integration & Advancement of New Americans (CIANA) is a social services organization that works to integrate new immigrants from South Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America into the socio-economic and civic life of American society while maintaining pride in their cultural heritage.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly update content on CIANA’s website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts to increase engagement and awareness
• Collaborate with outreach and fundraising team to devise strategies/campaigns to solicit donors, volunteers, and clients
• Track outcomes of various communication techniques (email campaigns, Facebook posts, videos, etc), and solidify best practices
• Compile photos and video from events to highlight CIANA’s vibrant community

Qualifications:​

• Current or recent undergraduates pursuing or hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, or a related field

Required:

• Being a self-starter
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• A passion for creating content embodying our current brand design
• One or more of the following:
• Knowledge of adobe software (inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience writing for a school publication, online magazine, or blog
• Experience with executing successful campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Bonus Points:

• Experience with photography, video production, and editing
• Fluency or bilingualism in another language (especially Arabic, Spanish, and Bengali)
• Willingness to attend events and live tweet on behalf of CIANA
