The Clothes Closet thrift store, which is open to the public, has a dual purpose: proceeds from sales provide funding for Neighbors, Inc.'s emergency and supportive services, and clients can receive free vouchers to shop in the store for needed clothing or household items.
In addition to the sales floor, the Clothes Closet also operates through its own eBay page; featuring items such as antiques, collectibles, high-end clothing and more! We are currently looking for someone to help sell these items online to generate extra revenue to support our emergency and supportive services. If you have an eye for value, then this is the right opportunity for you!
Key Activities:
*Receive information on incoming donations
*Accurately describe, price and post merchandise on Neighbors' eBay page
*Communicate with potential customers on the inquiry, sale or return of items
*Check-in regularly with the Clothes Closet Store Manager
Qualifications:
*Must be at least 18 years-old and willing to undergo a background check through the Minnesota Court System (MNCIS)
*A willingness to serve at least 1-2 hours a week
*Strong visual presentation skills and/or comfort in helping customers
*Understanding of email, and other basic computer skills
Times Needed:
*Flexible scheduling; hours are determined by you, the volunteer
*Must be able to attend a one-time orientation/training at Neighbors' office in South St. Paul
Neighbors does not have opportunities for court-mandated community service.
