Support our San Mateo County LGBTQ+ community by volunteering at the 2019 Pride event in San Mateo Central Park!

Hosted by the PRIDE Initiative, the 6th Annual SMC Pride will be on June 15, 11am-5pm. This year's theme is Rooted in Resilience.
The annual SMC Pride event is a celebration of LGBTQ+ health and visibility in San Mateo County. We value the wellness of our queer community and celebrate this annual opportunity to share wellness resources and build relationships with music, food, and family-friendly fun.

Shifts are one hour each. Volunteer roles include:
- Social media support
- 7am: bring coffee + light breakfast for volunteers
- 7am: transport supplies
- 8-10am: decorate venue
- Help with children's activities/booth
- Help with mindfulness/Massage area
- Help with Bouncy House
- Photography/videography
- Greet attendees/provide directions
- Circulate donation buckets
- Circulate bubble blower
- Help with Youth area
- Clean-up

Mission Statement
The Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) advances health equity in behavioral health outcomes of marginalized communities throughout San Mateo County. ODE works to empower communities; influence policy and system changes; develop strategic and meaningful partnerships; and promote workforce development and transformation within the County’s behavioral health service system.
Description
We work to make sure everyone can be mentally well in San Mateo County. Much of our work is inside the County system, but we also hold community events to support connection and support between people who live, work, or play in SMC. Join us in building a healthier, safer community!
