Informed Choices is a faith based non-profit that works with women and men who experience an unplanned pregnancy. We are in need of volunteers to journey one-on-one with clients through their pregnancy by providing relational care, on-going support, encouragement and education. As a Prep-4-Life Client Advocate you will meet weekly with clients who participate in our free prenatal earn-while-you-learn DVD curriculum based program. Prep-4-Life takes clients through prenatal care, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and early stages of parenting. Client Advocates build relationships that nurture and support our clients to better serve them within our organization and if needed to connect with other resources and agencies in Lake County.

Description

Informed Choices offers free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, prenatal and parenting education. Counseling for pregnancy options including parenting, adoption and abortion is provided in a safe and confidential environment. Support for men navigating pregnancy and parenting, and infant necessities including diapers, wipes, formula and clothing is also available.
